Hi, this is Stephen Forsythe, can you click on my students' YouTube Link?

Dear Friends Old and New,

Can you help us out a second and click on the link so that it registers a view on the video?  The ones with the most views wins a day at Gaylord Palms to perform and see the fantastic ICE!

It will only register one time per computer, telephone, iPad, etc.  So don't worry about clicking it over and over.

Thanks for your help!

God Bless,
Stephen Forsythe

Bugs and Daffy's Carnival of the Animals...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hzdr0UsJj4U

This is a link to Bugs and Daffy playing Carnival of the Animals.  It's great. I sat all the way through it on summer vacation, so it has to be good.

Bugs and Daffy begin with a lengthy argument over how to pronounce Saint-Saens, which I think will really drive the point home and help the kids remember who the composer is.

Also, it does a great job of showing the orchestra and conductor as well as animation showing an interpretation of the composer's intent.

It's made me want to construct a themes set of lessons based on each animal.  (Maybe skipping the Wild Jackass.)

Reboot

Reading the old posts on this blog really makes three years seem like an eternity. When I read back over what I've wrote, I can hardly remember so many things. I guess that is what makes journaling so important.  You can see where you've been. I'm so happy to be where I am now. I look back on that guy three years ago and see him coming into the light. My life has changed so much for the better.  There are a few things to work on still, but for the most part, that miserable guy is gone, and I had almost forgotten him until I read the old blog posts.

Anyways, I'm going to relaunch this blog with a theme, and of course the theme is who I am. i am going to write about teaching elementary music from a Christian perspective. No, it doesn't mean I'm going to be preaching in every post, but how situations may relate to my relationship with Christ will be mentioned. I want to post lots of cool things that I find, and perhaps touch a few lives in the process?

We shall see.   Let the fun begin.
